Say CHEESE!!!!

I was craving goat cheese - so I grabbed some cheese cloth and whipped up a scratch batch! Because that's what you do on a quiet Wednesday night in the woods!

I used to be so afraid of making cheese - I thought it was too difficult, or time consuming, but let's be honest - you don't have to make brie or camembert to enjoy homemade cheese! There are so many fresh cheeses that don’t have to be aged for months that you can make in a few hours!

Goat cheese is one of the easiest and most satisfying cheeses you can make at home - just get some goats milk, a bit of lemon, and voila, cheese!

Goat cheese is made by a process known as acid/heat coagulation. It is the oldest method of cheese making in the world. It not only makes an appearance in Greek Mythology, but on the alls of Egyptian tombs! Lemon juice and vinegar break apart the protein structure of the milk once it has reached a certain temperature. There's something delightfully fresh about a lemon goat cheese with fresh herbs, and so many possibilities to add your own spin or favorite flavors! Join us in a goat cheese class and we'll show you how!
